


Kathleen has been in the fitness industry since 1989 and an
ACE personal trainer since 1992. She is a competitive Masters runner in
distances ranging from 800 meters to 5k.
In 1997 Kathleen met with Jim and Phil Wharton, authors of the
Wharton's Stretch Book and trained in the technique of Active Isolated
Stretching eventually becoming an A.I. Stretch therapist.
Kathleen went on to become a continuing education provider
for the American Council on Exercise on the subject of Active Isolated
Stretching. She has worked with many athletes on improving their
flexibility, taking them
through a progressive series of stretches, working on overall
flexibility as well as targeting areas of concern.
The A.I.S. program works for
all athletes no matter what their level of fitness or competition.
It can and should be used daily for overall improvement of flexibility. It can be used for a warm-up
before or recovery from an event or workout. World Class and Olympic
athletes alike use this technique with great success. And so can you.

Kathleen also specializes in taking women from many
different levels of fitness and helping to improve their overall strength.
Kathleen creates custom programs designed to improve
strength with a view to running. She also works on safe strength training
during and after pregnancy.
